About Us:

Social Welfare & Environment Conservation Society, Nepal (SWECOS Nepal) is a non profit making & non government organization registered in GON/district administration office, Rasuwa  (Reg. no.9/053/54/38) and affiliated with Social welfare council in 1997 (SWC affiliation No.5978). It is also register in GON/Department of internal Revenue (Personal Identity PAN No. 302387472). It has conducted a saving account in Bank of Kathmandu (Saving Account no.05-2412-9). It is founded by a team of experienced social development & health workers. It has 7 number of highly skilled and experienced executive committee members with an advisory committee of 2 members. The main objective of SWECOS is to aware and support people on social, environmental, political and economical issues to the marginalized groups."

Social development with the people for the people, by the people & Environmental protection is not only for today's issues but also for the future generation" is our motto. It is functioning with close coordination with NGO federation, district development committee as well as social welfare council by identifying local needs & potentials, awareness building, advocating people’s rights to development & partner for development. SWECOS beliefs that people especially the poor, deprived & marginalized are the real actor for social transformation. SWECOS, Nepal strives for encouraging people for their participation with local knowledge, skills & resources. Presently SWECOS is working in awareness on HIV/AIDS to vulnerable group, avocation & empowerment of women with different issues e.g. Maternity & reproductive health, human right, children right. It is supporting the student by providing educational supports like books, exercise book, school dresses etc.. Its programs are oriented toward achieving goal of human development by realizing environment.
